For the 5th year, Revere’s Riders again sponsored the Marty Brown Memorial Invitational rifle match at Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh, IN. The event honors Marty Brown, a rifle instructor with Revere’s Riders, who lost a 40-month battle with ovarian cancer in 2017. Ever since, a group of Marty’s friends along with her husband Phil have gathered at Camp Atterbury to shoot a “known distance” rifle match at distances of 100, 200, 300, and 400 yards.
In 2019, the Marty Brown Memorial series of events was born as a way for shooting sports enthusiasts to enjoy a day at the range while also giving back to their community. The Marty Brown Memorial events raise funds for Ovar’coming Together, a central Indiana non-profit organization dedicated to supporting women diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
