The final golf match of the 2023 season for the DePauw University Womens Golf team was the Wittenberg Fall Classic held this past weekend. Cold and rainy fall weather made for challenging conditions out on the golf course; the Springfield Country Club course, designed by Donald Ross, did its part to heighten the degree of difficulty as well.
Despite the challenges, the DePauw golf team rose to the occasion and posted a two-day combined score of 669 (345-324) to finish in 4th out of nine teams competing. My daughter, Becky Williams, earned 1st place individual golfer with a combined score of 154 (79-75), two strokes ahead of Wooster’s Ally Siewert.
