It’s been a few years since I have been able to attend the Artomobilia car show in Carmel, IN but I was able to make it again this year. The weather was just phenomenal for a day outdoors looking at a nice collection of classic and custom cars. Again this year, the “Palooza” areas set aside for the local BMW, Lotus, and Porsche clubs seem to have attracted the most entrants. To me, these cars are mostly “uninteresting” as they are run-of-the-mill vehicles that you commonly see on the road, perhaps with some modifications. Fortunately, there seems to have been something of a resurgence in the pre-WWII vehicles this year with quite a few nice models on display including:
- 1929 Ford open cab pickup
- 1908 Buick Model F — owned by the same family from new!
- 1930 Packard 12 — this car was the star of the show in my opinon.
- 1930 Buick Series 61
- 1940 Cadillac Series 75
- 1941 Packard 160 Super 8
- 1936 Auburn Salon 852 Phaeton
- 1938 Lincoln LeBaron K
- 1929 Auburn Boattail Speedster
- 1932 Duesenberg Model J Dual Cowl Phaeton
- 1911 Cole Torpedo 30
