Becky Williams, my younger daughter, played in the IU Indianapolis Lady Jaguar Invitational April 12-13, 2025. Despite having a strep infection, she shot rounds of 4-under (68) and 4-over (76) for a combined score of 144 (Even) for the weekend which earned her the 1st Individual Player trophy. Her 4-under round on Saturday included an Eagle (2-under) on the par 5 8th hole as well as 4 more birdies (including the remainder of the par 5 holes on the course; she was 5-under on the par 5 holes alone). Play on Sunday was particularly difficult with 20-25 mph winds.
The Lady Jaguar Invitational is hosted by IU Indianapolis at Plum Creek Golf Course in Carmel, IN. This year 7 teams participated, 5 of which are D1. Needless to say, it is quite the accomplishment for a D3 player to win a D1 golf tournament. Becky is ranked the #1 NCAA D3 Women’s Golf player as of April 11, 2025:
