My older daughter, Claire, showed her new horse Boris de Bruz (“Boris”) at the Indiana Hunter Jumper Association (IHJA) 2026 Annual Show. Claire and Boris were Champion in the Low Adult Hunter and Adult Amateur Equitation divisions. They also took 2nd place in the IHJA 2″6′ Hunt Team Hunter Derby where riders dressed themselves and their mount in a costume related to the theme of “Under the Sea”. Claire and Boris teamed with Reis Ahlfeld and her horse Marengo; Claire and Boris were Jack Dawson and the Titanic while Reis and Marengo were Rose DeWitt Bukater and the flotsam Rose and Jack clung to after the sinking, respectively.
