Considering the automotive manufacturing and racing heritage of Indianapolis, it is surprising that the city did not have a “concours d’ elegance” style car show until Artomobilia began in 2008. Perhaps only slightly more surprising is that I had not attended this show until this year. The home of such automotive manufacturers as Duesenberg, Marmon, Studebaker, Auburn and Stutz (among others) not to mention the Indianapolis 500 (the “greatest spectacle in motor racing”) certainly deserves a premier car show.
2015 marks the 7th year for Artomobilia and the inaugural year of Fuelicious, a fund-raising event for Indiana Children’s Wish Fund held the evening before the car show. Fuelicious combines 50 distinctive collector cars, a premier culinary experience and a group of fellow automotive enthusiasts all on the grounds of the beautiful Lucas Estate in Carmel, IN.
Artomobilia is held on the streets of downtown Carmel in the Arts & Design District. Here, in addition to fabulous collector cars, you will find a variety of shops, art galleries and restaurants all of which are open during the show. Make your plans now to attend next year!
