French Quarter, New Orleans

While my daughter was showing at the Gulf Coast Winter Classic, I took the opportunity to make the 1 hour drive to New Orleans and do some sight-seeing. I spent most of my time in the French Quarter, specifically at Jackson Square and inside the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral dating from the mid-1800s. The centerpiece of Jackson Square is a 1856 bronze statue of a mounted Andrew Jackson, hero of the Battle of New Orleans and 7th President of the United States.
