My oldest daughter is a long-time lover of horses as evidenced by the numerous photos I have taken of her competing at huntseat horseshows. By chance, she learned of a summer job opportunity as a groom at the local polo club, Hickory Hall. Since the job involved horses, she naturally took it immediately and shortly thereafter became a groom for an additional rider.
Hickory Hall holds weekly matches just north of Zionsville, IN and each match generally benefits a local charity. I attended the August 12th match which raised funds for Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding Center (coincidentally, just a short distance down the road from my home) and Indiana Canine Assistant Network, Inc.
