The DePauw Womens Golf team competed in the 2025 NCAC (North Coast Athletic Conference) Championship this past weekend at the Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, IN. The tournament is a 3-day, 54-hole tournament with six colleges competing: DePauw University (#31 ranked team in NCAA D3 Womens Golf), Denison University (#18 ranked team in NCAA D3 Womens Golf), Wittenberg University (#67 ranked team in NCAA D3 Womens Golf), College of Wooster (#91 ranked team in NCAA D3 Womens Golf), Ohio Wesleyan University, and Hiram College.
My daughter Becky repeated her 2024 NCAC Individual Championship by putting up scores of 72, 72, and 75 on the par-72 course. She and teammate Ashley Long (who finished T4 and shot 78, 77, and 79) were the only women’s golfers to shoot in the 70s for all three rounds. The second place golfer trailed Becky by 12 strokes.
Becky and Ashley were also awarded positions on the 2025 NCAC Womens Golf All-Tournament Team.
As a team, DePauw repeated their 2nd place finish and closed the gap with Denison from 2024’s 13 strokes to only 9 strokes. At a few points in the match, DePauw actually led but wasn’t able to hold on.
ADDENDUM: Becky was chosen as one of the 6 individual golfers to compete at the 2025 NCAA DIII Womens Golf Championship to be held May 13-16 at Kingsmill Resort & Spa in Williamsburg, VA. Becky also played in the 2024 NCAA DIII Womens Golf Championship and placed T11 and the 2023 NCAA DIII Womens Golf Championship and placed T29.
